11月16日は
私の独立記念日です。
大家族で育った私が、齢五十にして初めての独り暮らし。
引っ越しは、とにかく大変でした。
いろんな意味で・・・
たった一人、80箱を越える段ボールと格闘し
どうにかこうにか片付けて迎えた朝は、透明な光に満ちていました。
インスタントのカップスープと、ミルクティーと、マフィンの
ごく簡単な朝ごはん。
吐く息が白かった。
ハチミツは、引っ越し前、11日に岩川で買ったもの。
こんなドタバタのなかでも
芙蓉部隊の慰霊祭に行ったのです。
引っ越して三日目、駅前のお花屋さんで買ったシクラメンです。
自分以外に、何か「生きたもの」の気配を感じたかった。
赤とか、ピンクとか、明るくて元気な色にするつもりだったのに
結局、選んだのは、真綿のように真っ白なシクラメン。
あの日から、まる三年。
無我夢中の日々でした。
もちろん今だって、無我夢中ですけれど・・・。
三度目の独立記念日を節目に
また新たな一年間が始まります。
石の上にも三年。
十月終わりに右足の指を骨折したのは、
さあ、ここでいったん、「脚下照顧」
基本に立ち返って、足下を固めていく大切さを
確認するためだったのかもしれません。
